Brand Identity | Summer 2023
Asked to select an existing festival and develop a fresh brand identity that emphasizes its fundamental values, I chose The Kentucky Derby. Developing a unique logo and exploring innovative applications of the mark to highlight the traditions of elegance, celebration of southern culture, and excitement for the annual racing event.
This racetrack is steeped in tradition that continues to educate, engage, and excite those about the history of The Kentucky Derby. Open to those of all ages, the event creates a unique environment where individuals immerse themselves in the revel of high-profile sporting. My goal in developing the redesign in brand identity was to highlight and preserve the legacy of this 3 century horse race that is constantly changing.
